Master Bedroom Update

Our master bedroom finally got a much-needed facelift! We bought our current home less than two years ago. The house is in a great school district and on a really quiet street. We fell in love with the back yard, but the interior of the house needs some tlc. John recently completed the construction on my office which the reveal can be seen in THIS post.

Paint and Window Treatments

The original wall color was green with silver undertone, not bad – it was just not the look I wanted for the master bedroom. We opted for simple white paint Sherwin Williams Pure White.

All the windows in the house have vertical blinds. You can say YUCK with me. I am ripping them out room by room. And as of today only 3 more rooms to go!  Here are the details for the window treatments.

Hardware –  curtain rods (28″-48″) in pewter, small rings in pewter (note I used 9 rings per panel).

I decided to splurge on Pottery Barn bedding. The quality is amazing, our previous bedding (also from PB) lasted 5 years – looked great wash after wash. But since bedding was my splurge item, I decided to go with budget friendly sheets. Found THESE on Amazon for $25! Here is my honest review- feel amazing, super soft microfiber. They’re thinner than expected, and prob won’t last as long as my PB ones. But for the price I feel they were such a great buy.

My bench is from Restoration Hardware (and over 5 years old) but I found nearly identical HERE and HERE. The rug is by Orian. I have one in my family room and I love it so much that I decided to get similar style for the master bedroom.  The color is Natural Driftwood and it’s 7.9″x 10’10”. You can also find my rug HERE. FURNITURE

My bed is the Adler bed from Restoration Hardware. Very similar ones HERE, HERE and HERE. Night stands are old from RH as well. They’re metal wrapped and there is a very similar style available at PB HERE.

Lamps are from Pier1 but similar can be found HERE. I just replaced the lamp shades to add more color. I found the new shades at Home Sense. The mirrors are also from there, but I found them on Wayfair available HERE.

Dresser is from PB – it is so beautiful and the drawers are so deep and spacious.
