I seriously cannot believe it’s already July. Time is just zooming by. Last night I completed my 30 day June abs challenge. I talked a little bit about that on Instagram stories. So many of you were interested in learning more and even joining me on this journey. So I decided to do it again in July.

What is July Abs Challenge?
I created the challenge for myself because 1. I never do any core workouts and I need to strengthen my core and TWO I needed something to keep me accountable on the daily basis yet totally achievable.
So what is the July Abs Challenge – 5 minutes of core workout every single day for the month of July. And I mean it… EVERY SINGLE DAY, no excuses. Just think about it, if you do 5 minutes a day for 30 days, that’s 150 minutes – 2.5 hours of abs in the month! Just like with any other workout regimen consistency is the key, and I feel like 5 minutes a day is totally do-able. So what do you say? Are you in? And if the answer is no… why not?
July Abs Challenge – How Do I Join?
This part is easy. Commit to just 5 minutes a day and do the work. I will be posting daily check ins on social media, and if you feel like sharing on social, make sure to tag me. We can hold each other accountable. When I was doing my challenge in June, I cannot tell you how many times I almost skipped the workout. I would be in my pjs in bed, ready to fall asleep and then … ugh! I would jump out of bed and do my 5 min on the floor next to bed. If I can do it, you can do it. I didn’t want to skip a single workout (and ruin my streak) and most importantly I didn’t want to disappoint you! You all kept me going. I know we can do it together. Here’s a screenshot of my June activity. I know it’s only 5 minutes a day but I am so proud of myself!
July Abs Challenge – Workouts
Any core workout will do! I personally use the Peloton App. You can filter workouts by length (5 min), type (core) and instructor. I highly recommend giving it a try. You can also youtube sample workouts. I will do my best to add sample workouts here several times a week. So make sure to keep checking back in!
Here is template I will be using this month to stay on track. You can print it off and keep somewhere visible (like your nightstand) this will be your daily reminder not to miss a workout.

So first of all, results can come in all shape and sizes. Are you getting stronger? Does your back feel better? Is your mid section more toned and tighter? And also keep in mind this is just 5 min a day, so it may take longer to see results. Lastly, changes don’t happen overnight. Don’t wish for it, work for it.

I am posting my results below. Pic on the left was actually taken June 6th (I totally forgot to take a pic day 1) and the pic on the right was June 30th. I am happy with my results (yes, the changes are small) but my skin looks and feels tighter. I also didn’t change my diet. If anything, my diet over the last few weeks has been horrible. I can’t stay away from the PB Monster trail mix from Target haha. I am so excited to continue this journey in July and I hope you join me!
