We are three weeks in to September and I know many of you are now back to work in the office or classroom. I’ve been getting a lot of requests to show more workwear outfit ideas so today on the blog I’m teaming up with my friend Sarah to show the same outfits – styled on two different body types.
Fall Workwear Outfit Ideas
I absolutely love this henley top. It’s been around for years now and is a great wardrobe staple. It’s tunic length which makes it great for leggings and skinnier pants. You can’t beat the price point either at being under $25. The white color is a bit sheer so I wear a nude bra underneath. For a workwear option, it looks great layered with a cardigan or blazer. I am wearing size S, Sarah is wearing a L. The pants are from Target and are amazing. Not only do they feel like leggings, they have an elastic waistband, are super comfortable and fit tts. I am wearing size 2. Sarah is wearing size 10. The mules run small, I recommend sizing up.
As I mentioned adding a blazer or cardigan really completes this look for a workwear option. The J.Crew Juliette Sweater Blazer is my favorite purchase from J.Crew and I have an blog post dedicated to the blazer with stying tips and ideas which you can see in THIS post. This blazer will keep you warm and cozy at work while remaining comfy.
These pants and cardigan are part of Target’s new arrivals and they are so good. I have styled these paperbag pants many times for workwear outfits all from Target which you can see in THIS post. The pants are high-waisted, have a removable belt and are ankle length. The fabric is thick which makes them great for the cooler temperatures. I am wearing size 2, Sarah is wearing a 10. they fit tts. The cami is currently 40% off (free shipping and free returns) and one of my tried and true wardrobe basics. It’s very easy to maintain and remains in good shape wash after wash. I’m wearing size xs, Sarah is wearing a L. Offices and school classrooms can get chilly so a good cardigan is a necessity! This cardigan is perfectly oversized, so cozy and not itchy. I’m wearing size s, but could have done an xs. Sarah is wearing a large. Similar pumps can be found here.
As I mentioned, the cami above is such a great wardrobe staple, I also own it in black. These plaid pants are so comfortable and just $20. Fit tts, I am wearing size small. To style for workwear adding a cardigan completes the look. I love the color and fabric of this duster length cardigan. It’s super soft, fits tts and I am wearing size small.
The plaid pants also look great with a cozy sweater. I prefer neutral colorways when mixing prints so I was drawn to the tan color of this one. It is oversized, incredibly soft and also looks great with leggings. I’m wearing size small, Sarah is wearing a large.
I also received requests for styling leggings for workwear. I know that can be tricky since leggings are on the casual side but I recommend sticking with faux leather leggings. They have more of a put together look. My favorite pair and the ones I’m wearing are the Spanx faux leather leggings. If you’re interested in other brands, check out THIS post where I compare and review the top 5 most popular ones on the market. I am wearing size small, Sarah is wearing xl. Sweater ponchos are a perfect item for fall and can easily complete a comfortable look. This poncho is from Target and you girls have been loving it. It comes in one size and the fabric is really soft. If you wanted to dress it up a bit more, layer a white button down underneath. The snakeskin mules match this palette so nicely and are available here. I do recommend sizing up by half size.
Styling the tunic with the leggings makes a great workwear outfit. This duster length cardigan is a Target find. It is so cozy, fits tts and I’m wearing size small, Sarah is wearing a large.
