Before And After Pictures and Why I am joining FWTFL
Ok… I had to think long and hard on whether I should share this or not. I mean why wants to blast the most unflattering pictures on social media or blog, right? Well, I decided to share my before and after pics with you all. My hope is that no matter where you are in your health or fitness journey, it will inspire you to keep going or maybe getting started.
I started training for the half marathon January 7th. This came after two years or being lazy, inactive and indulging in snacks, wine and everything in between. Wow, how did I get here? I used to find joy in working out! When I snapped that first picture… week one I was in disbelief. But it was exactly what I needed to see. For the past two years, I didn’t make my health or fitness a priority. I was always too busy, too tired… too something. I clearly didn’t intend on sharing these, as both before &after pics are in my pajama bottoms lol
Anyways, I am glad I took that first picture. In fact I took few more – week 4, week 6, week 8 and 9th. I was able to see my body transforming. You see, you do not always see change in your weight. But it is important to recognize the non scale victories. I ran over 200 miles in the last 10 weeks. I did not lose any weight though. But my body does look different. My biggest mistake during my training was not adjusting my eating habits. I cannot emphasize this enough, diet is so important! I still ate what I wanted, drank wine and snaked away.
Which brings to my why I decided to join Faster Way to Fat Loss. I need help, I need guidance. I don’t really get macros, carb cycling (yet) , and I am not about to start counting calories to starve myself. I have seen my friends posting pictures of their amazing results after just few weeks on the plan. Well, I am here for it!!! If you would like to join me, you can sign up HERE (enter Kristen Mills as your coach). Prep week starts next week March 25th . Plan offers so much help, guidance and support. And we can do it together.
Without further ado… this is what working out did for me. Picture on the left is Week 1 (Jan 7th), pic on the right is Week 9 (March 8th). Still a long way to go, but I cannot wait to see the transformation once I incorporate healthy lifestyle!
