Sunday Five.
Hi Girlies. I wanted to start a new segment on the blog about 5 things I am obsessing over each week. It can be anything from makeup, clothes, snack, etc. If you have something you’re currently crazy over I would love to hear from you!
Here is my Sunday Five for the week of 12/11
Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow
I have been so pale lately, and my skin has been craving some glow. Not only am I pale, but my skin has been dry due to low temperatures (winter skincare post coming next week). I have been getting spray tans here and there, but I needed a quick solution. I grabbed this tint at the mall last week. And I am loving it! So what is it? It has consistency of a BB cream. It is white out of the tube, but as soon as you put it on your skin, it adapts to your skin color, just few shades darker. If I had to describe what it looks like, I guess it would be that first spring sunkissed glow. A must try! And great stocking stuffer. I have to tell you, it immediately transformed my face from “I look dead” to “hello there” hehe I don’t really wear makeup on the weekends soI just apply this and mascara (see what mascara I use HERE) for a fresh look.
Sam Edelman Boots
I bought these boots at full price and now they’re on sale 40% OFF. I really don’t have much to say about these, because in my opinion the picture does do it justice. They’re the most stylish and practical boots I own. And such a great value. Fit TTS.
Cozy Socks
The house we currently live in is soooo cold. The heat is always on, and even though I am always covered with blankets, my hands and feet are freezing. I complain about it, and John always replies “wear some socks”. He actually grabbed me THIS pair at the mall. He said they felt super soft. That man knows me, I am into soft and cozy accessories. The brand behind these socks is known for extremely soft wraps and blankets, and boy these socks sure live up to the expectations. Another great stocking stuffer idea. Kids option HERE .
Crockpot Meals
This one is a no brainer. We have had two snow storms on Long Island in the last 10 days. And I have to tell you there is nothing better than staying in , and enjoying a delicious meal from the slow cooker. I have THIS one, it was a holiday gift from years ago. My favorite recipe is the SantaFe Chicken from the Skinny Taste blog. Do you have a good recipe? Please share.
Oribe Swept Up
So I do not know exactly what’s in this magical powder. But it is a true miracle worker. TRUTH: I only wash my hair every 5-6 days. I use dry shampoo, but after day 3 my naturally straight hair tends to be super flat. With just few pumps of this powder into roots, it magically transforms my hair from flat to fab. I cannot say enough amazing things about it. It is a life changing secret. It is a bit pricey but I think one bottle should last 2-3 months. It does leave a bit of residue on your hair, but it can be brushed out and it will become invisible even on dark hair. If you need to add volume to your hair, look no further. This lil bottle is A MUST!
