Summer Makeup and Skincare

Hi!!

I hope you’re having a great week! John and I are in Ohio for Sarah’s wedding and I am so excited to watch her get married, she’s one of my best friends! Also, super excited to have some alone time with John, we haven’t been away just the two of us in 15 years …yep that’s right 15 years!

My kids are in good hands at home with our trusted babysitter from South Carolina, but I’m not going to lie, I still have so much anxiety being away from them. Thoughts and prayers are much appreciated!

Today, I will be sharing my favorite makeup and skincare finds for the summer! I love a lighter makeup look that keeps me sun kissed and glowy.

RECENTLY OBSESSED

Colorescience Sunscreen – This sunscreen is so hydrating, leaves no white cast, and gives a gorgeous natural glow! It applies white and adjusts to your skin tone. I use shade medium and I would say the shades run a little light.
Kopari Setting Mist – Instant glass skin! This setting spray looks so beautiful on your skin and it holds your makeup in place all day. It also has SPF in it which makes it perfect for summer.
After Sun Lotion Bar – Have you ever tried a solid lotion? It looks like a bar of soap but it’s lotion! I apply it right after a shower when my skin is still warm, it’s so hydrating and feels amazing after spending time in the sun. This one smells like lemon bar dessert!
New Fragrance Alert – I haven’t shared this product yet, but I sampled it at Nordstrom last week and instantly fell in love with what smelled like peachy notes! Funny enough, peach isn’t even listed in the notes—but to me, it definitely gives off a soft, peachy, musky skin scent, with hints of vanilla and warm, woodsy undertones. It’s such a beautiful feminine, fruity, and floral scent for summer. Funny story: I really loved it when I tried it, but I wasn’t planning to buy it at first. I had just sprayed it on my wrist and was walking around the store looking at shoes, lol, when two women stopped me to ask what fragrance I was wearing. They both complimented it and insisted I go back and buy it. And, well… a girl couldn’t resist after that!
Olay Super Serum – This one may surprise you but it has been highly recommended and has even gone viral. I love that it’s unscented and combines the benefits of five different serums in one. If you’re looking to simplify your skincare routine this summer, it’s definitely worth checking out!
