I have been starting my days off with positive affirmations and wanted to share one of my favorite quotes with you today – “One small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.” Well, my thought this morning was that it’s finally Friday. The weekend is coming and we have no plans, other than family time. What will be your positive thought for the day?

Since it’s Friday I am back with Friday Five – sharing 5 items I’m loving this week. Today is all about affordable / drugstore makeup finds. You girls have been so kind with your messages about my makeup, so I wanted to share my tried and true products. Some of them I’ve been using for years, some are new finds. I am obsessed with all these products. Summer is slowly coming to an end … don’t be mad… I am just really excited for fall, haha. These products will be amazing for extending that summer glow into next season.

Milani Soft Focus Glow

This has been one of my recent purchases even though I have been a fan of the Milani brand for a while now. The Milani Soft Focus Glow totally reminds me of the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter. This versatile product can be worn by itself or used as a complexion enhancer, under your foundation as a primer. It has hyaluronic acid, rose water and pearl pigments which gives you a radiant glow. I wear shade #2.

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer

The butter bronzer quickly became a cult favorite and not only does it smell like a tropical vacation, it gives you a beautiful, natural color. I use it for contouring and an overall sun-kissed color. I wear the color bronzer. The entire butter line is so amazing that I also use the Butter Blush in vintage rouge. It’s hydrating and highly pigmented.

Milani Highlighter Palette

If you’re one of my long time readers, you already know how much I love this Milani Stellar Lights Highlighting Palette in rose glow. It’s highly pigmented and a little goes a long way to create a beautiful multi-dimensional look. I use a fan brush and swipe across all three colors (to blend) and then use it at the top of my cheekbones, bridge of my nose and right above the lip. Beauty hack: Use as eye shadow!

NYX Plumping Lip Color

NYX has always been one of my go to beauty brands. I know we all love our NYX butter gloss, (btw, my favorite colors are crème brulee and vanilla cream pie) so naturally I had to share the newest addition to the NYX lip line. The Filler Instinct Lip Stick does not disappoint. It’s creamy, non-drying and you definitely feel the tingling sensation that is meant to give you a fuller pout. While the plumping effect is mild in nature, the color is rich and beautiful. My color is beach casual. For a killer combo, I apply the Filler Instinct Polish for a glossy finish. These are both such soft shades of pink, that the added gloss gives you a pretty sparkly finish.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

I have actually been using the Stila Liquid Eyeliner for 3-4 years now and it’s my favorite on the market right now. The marker-like tip holds its shape through use and provides precision when applying. It doesn’t smudge and is available in 4 colors. I wear intense black. To complete the look I also use Tarte’s Man Eater Mascara and Lancome’s Cils lash primer.
