Hi girlies.
It’s that time of the year when adding a little bit of self tanner is more of a necessity. Winter months are brutal on my skin. Not only is my skin dull and dry, but also incredibly pale. I have been using the same self tanners for the past 7-8 years. I use the Clarins brand for face and St.Tropez for the body. This post contains affiliate link.
Clarins Self Tanning Instant Gel
I have been using the Clarins Self Tanning Instant gel for the past 8 years. It is available HERE (on sale 15% OFF), HERE (on sale 15% OFF) , and HERE
Why I love it:
- Natural looking tan
- Buildable color – you can apply several days in a row to achieve even deeper tan
- Doesn’t cause breakouts or clog pores – I have super sensitive skin and break out easily. I am very selective about the products I try. (fyi I actually cannot use any other products from this brand)
- Comes off evenly – no patches!
- Economic – a little bit goes a long way. The tube lasts for months and months!
Cons:
Sadly it does have the typical self-tanner smell. I have yet to try a quality self tanning product without that funky smell. TIP: I usually apply at night and shower in the morning. This way I don’t have the carry around that smell all day haha
St. TROPEZ Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mousse
I have been a devoted St. Tropez classic mousse user for years now. I find the application process easy and fool-proof. Because the foam is dark, you can see it easily on your skin while applying (no streaking). It is available on sale HERE , and HERE, and also HERE and HERE. If you don’t like the mousse consistency, I have also tried the St. Tropez Bronzing Mist and it’s just as good. I do personally prefer the foam/ mousse, because in my opinion it is easier to control the amount of product you apply.
Accessories
Heads up with the St.Tropez products, you need to use the tan applicator mitt. It is absolutely necessary for even and flawless application. It is also available HERE and HERE
I also keep the Tan Remover Mitt handy. It removes any tan build up and buffs away dry skin.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. And if you have any trusted self tanners, please do share! I am always up for trying new products.

I have always struggled with face self tanners! I have resorted to using my FakeBake mousse on my face as well as my body. I <3 FakeBake!!
